JOB TITLE:  EDI SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are looking for an experienced EDI technician. This professional individual will provide technical assistance to our current UK & US based EDI personnel. The person will provide production support in the event of any EDI failures. He or She should fully understand the Business processes and be able to develop EDI Maps often working closely with other Application System professionals to ensure the delivery of custom EDI requirements. The candidate must also possess communication skills along with the ability to work independently toward pre-determined KPI’s.

This individual must have the following experience:- 

GIS:

• Minimum 3 yrs experience EDI Mapping
• Advanced knowledge of general IT systems & desktop applications
• Communications - FTP, HTTP, VAN and AS2.

EDI:

• EDIFACT, ANSI X12 and XML.

Preference will also be given to individuals who have experience in

• Sterling Commerce GIS (Gentran Integration Suite)
• BPML and the GIS BP Modeler
• XML including XPath and XSLT
• DB Connectivity - JDBC
• Familiarity with mapping and GIS mapping tool
• SQL Server and TSQL
• Java development
• VBScript

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years IT experience in addition to the list above and preference will also be given to any candidates who have worked in a logistics or international freight-forwarding environment.
